Since starting work outside the home, I’ve been on the hunt for pretty tops that are work-friendly as well as mom-friendly. I do dress up for work every day since I’m client-facing, but I don’t have to wear office suiting necessarily, so I’d say it’s a business-casual type of environment.
This light pink Ann Taylor blouse with the vertical stripes has been on major repeat for me these last few weeks. It’s a flowy top but still makes me feel feminine; the flutter sleeves are such a cute detail but don’t get in the way of work. It’s also lined and washes well. I usually pair tops like this with skinnier bottoms to keep the balance right for me.
These white skinny crop jeans with the sailor button detail at the pockets are just adorable! They have a stretch to them, but they don’t get super stretched out after a few hours of wear, so they’re perfect for wearing all day long at work.
My light grey crossbody bag is another one of my faves from The Daily Edited. I have it personalized with my initials, and the first 4 initials are included in the price. The unique grey color is really beautiful too. The crossbody straps are detachable, so you could technically wear it out like a clutch at night. I highly recommend TDE – I have their iPhone case, a little zip pouch that I keep coupons and receipts organized in, and a few other purses, all personalized. The quality is really good — very luxe materials and details — while the prices are attainable. Their packaging is amazing too, so their pieces make beautiful gifts.
And lastly, these white leather espadrille wedges have been a summer must-have for me. Something about white shoes is just so fresh and chic to me. They also come in other beautiful neutral colors if white isn’t for you. They’re comfortable for all day wear too, and I plan to wear mine for a few more months since our summer extends into fall here in SoCal.
