It’s that time, ladies and gents! The biggest super-sale of the year just started for Nordstrom cardholders, aka Early Access to the famed Anniversary Sale. If you have their debit or credit card, you get to shop 8 days earlier than everyone else!
I got a Nordstrom debit card years ago because it’s worth it just to shop this sale and get first dibs on sizes and colors. From shopping the Anniversary Sale for the past few years I’ve learned that some of the best stuff sells out within hours of the first day of Early Access and sometimes doesn’t come back in stock for Public Access! The card also gives me extra perks like earning Nordstrom Notes towards future purchases, a $300 credit towards tailoring (I’m Level 3), Triple Points Days, and special invites.
What makes this sale so good is that brand new releases are on sale across all departments. Prices go up August 6th. So it’s basically like a “reverse” sale!
If you don’t have a Nordstrom card, mark your calendar for July 20th when Public Access opens! I do highly recommend getting at least the debit card just to be able to shop this awesome one-of-a-kind sale since the best stuff sells out lightning fast. I had multiple items cancel last year because they oversold, so if you’re on the fence about something, I’d say order ASAP and return later if it doesn’t work out, or else risk the item selling out.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has brand new arrivals from brands like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Alice + Olivia, Theory, MCM, Veronica Beard, Topshop, Louise et Cie, Nike, Alo Yoga and more, along with Nordstrom’s own brands like Treasure & Bond, Halogen, 1901 and Zella. There’s something for everyone across pretty much every category: Women’s, Men’s and Kids’ shoes, clothing, and accessories in a range of current summer pieces to upcoming fall fashion, as well as brand new Baby Gear, Beauty Exclusives, and Home Decor.
It helps to have a shopping strategy with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale since things do sell out really fast, and there are literally pages upon pages to browse. I suggest going through each family member’s closet and making a list of what everyone in the family needs for fall, then filtering by category, such as Women’s Sweaters. Otherwise it gets overwhelming with how much there is to look at, which ends up being counterproductive sometimes. So a strategy is a great idea in my opinion!
