My #NSale Purchases, Part I

My #NSale Purchases |

My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases have been coming in (a few more things coming today), so I thought I’d share what I actually purchased so far along with sizes and fit info.  The floor-length mirror I ordered a few months ago was delivered the other day too, so I’m excited to actually see what I look like before I head out the door, haha!

See Part II of my purchases here.

If you haven’t had a chance to visit the stores or put in any orders yet, #NSale is great because the new stuff for fall/winter is on sale.  Prices go back up on August 8th, though, so I’d get on it.  Also, did you know you can place orders online and pick up in store?  It doesn’t work for all items due to availability in local stores, but it’s a great time-saving option when it does.

I know it’s hard to think about cooler weather right now, especially when you live in Southern California, but I know these savings are going to be well worth it in the long run.  Plus, I’m really liking planning out my options in advance.  Saves me from buying duplicates of styles and makes everything go better together.

I LOVE this plaid top ($28.90 now, $44 after sale) and these grey skinny jeans ($134.90 now, $205 after sale).  I ordered size S in the shirt (runs oversized) and size 28 in the jeans.  The jeans are so soft and have just the right amount of stretch and distressing in the knee area.  I don’t know how I survived so many fall/winters without dark grey jeans.  I get bored of black and blue and white as my only jean options, so dark grey will be nice as another cool-toned F/W option that goes well with jewel tones.

This plum suede moto jacket sold out within the first few days, but it should be restocked after the sale.  Even at full price ($188), it’s a great value — it feels higher-end than the price point.  I love how the silver details pop against the fabric, and it’s one of the few colored items I purchased so far for the next season outside of my usual boring black and white, etc.  The cropped fit is great for my shape too.

UPDATE:  I found this plum jacket on Zappos and the light brown one on Revolve in limited sizes (both great online shops with fast shipping)!

Also, I’m so beyond excited to be able to wear my suede Stuart Weitzman’s again soon (I got Vienna her own pair too in size 7M, for those who asked on Snapchat).  My boots are not a part of the #NSale, but there’s a few others that are strikingly similar (and more affordable too).

This white roll tab sleeve tunic isn’t a part of #NSale, but it’s still on “regular sale,” ha ($27.90).  It’s a great staple for layering under sweaters and comes in lots of colors.  My black leggings ($33.90 now, $52 after sale) are a part of #NSale, though, and they’re a favorite year after year.  Women love them because they’re not see-through, they’re thick, and they’re stretchy; you can wear them to work out too.  Thus the name “Live In” Leggings.  I wear an S in both.

My faux leather jacket is from Zara, but there’s a very, very similar version ($64.90 now, $98 after sale) in the #NSale that’s a much better deal than what I paid for mine with near-perfect reviews.

I just love this grey stretchy v-neck dress ($38.90 now, $62 after sale)!  It’s so comfy yet chic with strategically placed ruching.  I wear dresses like this around the house too while I work so I’m comfortable but still feel presentable.  When I’m bored of jeans, I’ll be reaching for this dress as a layering piece under blanket scarves like this one from last year, jackets, and sweaters.  When it’s colder, I can just wear tights under it.

This is just a remix of the ruched dress without the scarf but with the suede jacket instead.  Also, I wanted to mention these olive Marc Fisher LTD booties I just got for fall too ($210, not a part of #NSale).  I shared them on Snapchat about a week and a half ago.  They are so comfy!!!  Olive will be my other fun color for fall/winter.

I love luxe fabrics and materials, and although my particular fur vest isn’t a part of the sale (it’s like 5 years old), there’s a really gorgeous one that’s on sale for $219.90 ($330 after sale).  I paired my fur vest with that tunic I mentioned earlier and my new favorite grey skinnies.  Grey on grey on grey.  With a bit of olive in the Marc Fisher LTD booties.

Just in case you’re not into real fur or want a more affordable option, there’s a really cute faux fur vest ($99.90 now, $150 after sale) that comes in two colors!

As you can see, the items I got are pretty interchangeable.  That’s how I like to shop for a season and pack for a trip.  It’s a lot easier when you know what colors you like and stick to them.  For example, with the plum suede jacket for fall, I considered what items I already have in my closet that I can pair it with before I ordered it.  I also consider how mom-friendly the items are as well as my future purchase plans (non-NSale) that will go nicely with it.  AND of course — I thought about how the fabric colors would go with my hair and skin color and how the fits would go with my body shape.  That’s how I order online without trying stuff on while still being very happy with the result!

Please let me know if this kind of casual post with mini reviews is interesting/helpful.  If so, I can do another one when my second round comes in.
