Recently I got a chance to try out two pairs of Velour Lashes, which are some of the best mink falsies out there, in my opinion. It’s hard to choose the best ones as there’s so many designs and styles of false lashes out there, such as those from One Two Cosmetics, and I’ve even been impressed with lash boosting serums which give you the option to go completely make up free, like those from https://www.xlash.co.uk/.
But these Velour ones really are amazing! I went with Whispie Me Away, which is a natural-looking everyday lash, and Wing Woman, which is an ever so slightly more dramatic look. I thought I’d do a little tutorial on how I apply false eyelashes using the Whispie Me Away’s, since I plan on wearing them a lot more often. A more affordable alternative to the Whispie Me Away’s would be Ardell’s Demi Whispies (not mink lashes, but a great natural-looking option nevertheless). See my recent #BumpStyle post wearing these Velour Lashes here.
I’m also considering trying eyelash extensions one day, so recommendations of awesome eyelash ladies in Orange County would be very much appreciated in the comments.

What You’ll Need:
Don’t they look like two little sleeping beauties?!
Step 1. Try on the new falsies for size without any glue, and trim the outer corners to fit your eye shape. Too much on the end can look droopy. Just the slightest bit of a trim is what I needed.
Step 2. Apply a thin layer of lash glue from one tip to the other. Wait 20-30 seconds to apply so that the glue gets tackier and sticks better and faster when you apply them.
Step 3. Place the falsies on top of your lashes using a pair of tweezers (tweezers are smaller and more articulate than fingers). Get the falsies as close to your natural lash line as possible. Wearing eyeliner is a good trick to help hide where the falsies connect.
Step 4. Enjoy your newfound flirtation.
In addition to the Velour Lashes, I’m wearing Chanel Vitalumiére Aqua foundation, Dior bronzer, NARS blush & highlighter, Lorac PRO Palette 2 (see my review here), Chanel eyeliner, and Hourglass Liquid Lipstick in Canvas.
