Fall is finally here in SoCal, so I’m getting ready to do a total reorganization of my closet and put all my sweaters and cardigans front and center. This longline cardigan from Nordstrom is probably my favorite cardigan ever: the length is awesome for someone taller like me (5’9″, shorter cardigans make me look frumpy), the color selection is pretty great (I need it in the tan color too), and the “belt” in the back is perfectly styled the way it is with no adjusting necessary and no need to find it in the laundry after going through the wash. And at under $80, this cardigan is going to get a lot of wear for me as a busy mom. Trust me when I say you need this cardi in your life! I got the size Small (the fit is oversized). When I shared it on Instastories, everyone went crazy over it!
Topshop & Trend at Nordstrom is the section where I find most of my updated casual mom clothing, and I love that most of the brands are rather affordable. They have slightly dressier pieces too for when I’m feeling like having a little fun with my outfits.
I paired the cardigan with a leopard print scarf, a simple white cami, my current favorite skinny jeans (33% off right now too — seriously jump on this deal, the fit is so good), fabulous pointed-toe mom flats, and my trusty Chloe crossbody bag.
I love matching with my little girl, who’s turning 3 in December, so I’m going to try to do it for as long as she thinks it’s cool. I found this fun grey sweater dress for her with the on-trend ruffle sleeves and a sequin star on the front. The brand is Truly Me, which is one of my go-to toddler girl brands at Nordstrom. They make some really stand-out pieces that can be worn everyday, especially their little girl jackets!
Oh, and you wouldn’t believe what a simple swipe of red lipstick will do for your confidence! It’s the single-most easiest way I’ve found to look more put-together in seconds. I always get compliments and comments like, “How do you manage to look like that as a mom?” It’s seriously the red lipstick (MAC in Feels So Grand).
