I’ve been a bit MIA on my blog and social media these first few weeks of January, because we’re moving to a new place next month! We’ll still be in Southern Orange County, but we need more space for our growing fam.
Searching for places to live, touring them, hiring a Lynchburg home inspector, submitting paperwork, and thinking about everything from furniture placement to where my daughter will likely start elementary school has taken a toll on the time I usually use to blog in between mom and wife duties. Come March, I should be back on track.
Back to fashion – because it’s fun and lighthearted and just what I need right now! I absolutely love this blue star print cardigan and can’t recommend it enough. It’s under $60, looks cute on basically everyone and works with pretty much every casual mom lifestyle – on-the-go moms, pregnant moms, breastfeeding moms, stay-at-home moms and weekend wear. You could totally wear it with loungewear at home to feel comfy yet cute. I recommend sizing up on the site because everything runs like juniors sizing.
My nursing tee is by Belly Bandit and one of the items I shot for them last year. I have all 3 colors (white, black and grey) and have loved wearing them as layering pieces under cardigans just like this all fall- and winter-long. Although you could pull down the neckline like most t-shirts with good stretch, what’s unique about this nursing tee is that it has multiple layers of fabric in the front that pretty much cover everything you might want covered while nursing in public. Breastfeeding access is on both sides too. If you’re busty like me, especially with breastfeeding, sizing up isn’t a bad idea; size Medium fits my girls nicely and leaves a longer length for more bum coverage (I’m 5’8″).
My leggings are called the Mother Tucker leggings. Love the name, haha! I appreciate how they go up almost to my bra and provide nice postpartum tummy support. Although an investment, these Belly Bandit leggings also made out of a thick, high-quality material that isn’t see-through. For leggings I wear outside the house, I prefer nicer leggings like this and don’t mind spending up to $100ish on “pants” I can wear multiple times a week. I’ve washed them lots of times and they haven’t pilled, which is awesome. If your’e a size 4-6 US, get size Small.
