This week I had my 15-week appointment and ultrasound, and my OBGYN was able to determine the gender of #BABYBOND… well, at least she’s 90% sure, haha! We wanted to film our reaction in a less medical setting, so Mr. Bond and I asked her to write it down on a card and seal it in an envelope for us. I took that card to our local party store and asked them to fill a cardboard box with either pink or blue balloons according to the contents of the envelope! So much fun!
The party store employees were really sweet and went above and beyond with the balloon box. They even wrapped it in pink and blue paper without asking, which was a lovely touch! I had a big grin on my face walking my pink and blue box to the car. At home, Mr. Bond spray-painted butcher paper with matte black paint, and I cut out a big heart to put on the outside of the box.
We headed to an open area just before the sun was about to set, and I set up two cameras on a tripod just in case one failed, since we couldn’t open the box twice. It was a really exciting and nervous moment, and I’m glad we went through all that extra to find out what we’re having. It’s our first baby, so you can’t blame us for being so excited, right? I can’t guarantee future children will get this much attention, but they’ll be just as loved! ♥
I hope you enjoyed the little video. We are so elated to be expecting a little baby girl! Of course all parents think their ultrasounds are cute, but she is looking cuter and cuter at every appointment, especially this last one. I just want to kiss her already!
Thanks for sharing in our excitement!

I wore a dress from ASOS Maternity with ribbon from a craft store and made the headpiece with real peonies wrapped in floral wire and attached to a thin black headband.
