I’ve been loving jewel tones for fall. I gravitate towards them every year around this time, but this year especially. Navy, burgundy, emerald green — I’m loving them all.
I’ve added quite a few burgundy pieces to my wardrobe, including this tunic some months back. At 14 weeks pregnant, my bump is still small enough that I can get away with wearing my looser and longer non-maternity tops.
The leggings are by Spanx, which I ordered before knowing I would fall pregnant some months later. They work ok for now (a little bit too much compression to wear longer than a few hours for me in my current state), but for non-pregnant mamas, these are amazing for smoothing and slimming. They are high-waisted and slinky and just overall a pleasure to wear. They’ll come in very handy next year around this time when I’m postpartum and trying to lose the baby weight.
I wore my Rebecca Minkoff crossbody bag as a clutch with this look, which proves its versatility as a great day-to-night bag.
I tied the blanket scarf into place with a belt so that I could have some sort of shape with all that fabric. I think it’s cute to wear a scarf this way with a bump or without. Mine is from last year, but they re-released a very similar one in a slightly different shade this year. For $32, it’s excellent quality.
The boots speak for themselves. I wear them a few times a week — just amazing. I ordered the Topo Suede color. Now I need a grey bag to match.
