My Self-Care Sunday Routine

This post is sponsored by Pantene. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

As a mom, it’s so important to take time for yourself so you can in turn be the best version of yourself for your kids, your partner, family, friends, and career. Lately I’ve been busier than ever with work and personal life, so on my days off, I really try to prioritize what I can do to help me rest and reset.

A big part of my self-care routine is beauty treatments. I usually wash my hair on Sundays and one other day during the middle of the week. I complete parts of my “Self-Care Sunday” routine any day I have off from my office job, not just on the weekend, but on Sunday, I pull out all the stops so I can start the week with great hair.

The latest addition to my hair care routine are the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots that just came out this January. The Intense Rescue Shots are Pantene’s first at-home rescue treatment imported from Brazil, which noticeably repairs extreme damage in a single use. This potent product is meant as an easy at-home treatment for color-treated and heat-styled hair in between professional salon treatments, and it comes in a simple, single dose tube. I replace my normal conditioner with the Intense Rescue Shots once a week, applying generously root-to-tip and leaving it on for 30 seconds, then rinsing for 30 seconds.

Even after one use, I noticed that my hair is softer, shinier, and even tangles less. The Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots contain a blend of Pro-Vitamin B5, strengthening lipids, and natural glycerin that absorbs into hair instead of heavily coating it like some other treatments. The product rinses quickly to avoid weighing down hair, even though I apply it all the way from root to tip!

Another big part of my Sunday routine is washing bedding and towels. There isn’t much better in life (in my opinion) than going to bed all clean and in clean sheets! If my house is clean, my car is clean, my bed is clean, and I’m clean, I’d call that a major win.

Lastly, doing something to relax my mind is equally as important as taking care of my physical body. I love tending to my vegetable garden or going for a walk with family.

So, here are some of my favorite things to do to relax the body, mind, and soul:

  1. Treating my hair with Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots
  2. Washing our bedding and towels
  3. Working on my vegetable garden
  4. Giving myself a manicure and pedicure
  5. Getting my car washed
  6. Putting away laundry
  7. Watching my favorite YouTubers
  8. Listening to music
  9. Drinking tea
  10. Online shopping (and online window shopping, haha)
  11. Going for a walk around my neighborhood or on the beach
  12. Going to church
  13. Chatting with my sisters or mom
  14. Cleaning out my technology (laptop, iPhone)
  15. Lighting a candle or spraying essential oils
  16. Putting on a face mask
  17. Self-tanning
  18. Getting a haircut
  19. Getting a massage
  20. Going to preventative dental and medical appointments
  21. Reading a book
  22. Writing a blog post (like this!)

  24. Sleeping in with nowhere to go that day
  25. Sitting outside with a book in hand
