As a mom, it’s so important to take time for yourself so you can in turn be the best version of yourself for your kids, your man, family, friends, and career. Lately I’ve been busier than ever with work and my personal life, so on my days off, I really try to prioritize what I can do to help me rest and reset. If you’re totally drained from all of life’s responsibilities, there’s nothing left to give to others. Carving out time to take care of yourself isn’t selfish in the slightest and is actually essential to achieving any kind of balance in life.
A big part of my self-care routine is beauty treatments. I usually wash my hair on Sundays and one other day during the middle of the week. I complete parts of my “Self-Care Sunday” routine any day I have off from my office job, not just on the weekend, but on Sunday, I pull out all the stops so I can start the week with great hair.
The latest addition to my hair care routine are the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots that just came out this January. The Intense Rescue Shots are Pantene’s first at-home rescue treatment imported from Brazil, which noticeably repairs extreme damage in a single use. This potent product is meant as an easy at-home treatment for color-treated and heat-styled hair in between professional salon treatments, and it comes in a simple, single dose tube. - Reading a book
- Writing a blog post (like this!)
- Sleeping in with nowhere to go that day
- Sitting on my outdoor patio set in my robe
