If you’re a fan of YouTube beauty gurus like I am, you’ve noticed that many of them do monthly favorites. Some are beauty, some are fashion, and some are lifestyle favorites. Since I love to try new products throughout the month so I can tell my Bond Girls about my experiences anyway, I thought I’d introduce my own version of Monthly Favorites to Bond Girl Glam. Below are the beauty and fashion favorites that made my March.
I felt like white nail polish was perfect for the transition month of March, since it works both as a winter white and as a spring/summer hot white. I think white is a lovely neutral nail color that really pops against tan skin. This particular one by Essie takes 3 coats to get to that super opaqueness that I like.
I received the NYX baked blush in my goodie bag from Simply Stylist LA (see the #OOTD post here). At first I was nervous to use it, since it looks like it’s going to transfer a lot of shimmer to my cheeks. However, the shimmer doesn’t really show up on my cheeks, and Pink Fetish is a pretty blush color for spring!
I feel like Trader Joe’s beauty items are hit-or-miss. For me personally, the micellar wipes are a hit. I was initially drawn to them because they’re marketed as micellar, which basically means that when the towelettes are applied to your skin, the micellar molecules break apart, and whatever isn’t water (i.e., dirt, makeup residue, etc.) is gently pulled away from the skin. Although they’re no miracle for waterproof makeup, they definitely do the job for removing most of my makeup before I cleanse. See my full current skincare post here.
I’ve been meaning to try this toothpaste for a while now, and I finally found it at Whole Foods. Theodent makes the most glamorous toothpaste I’ve ever seen or tried; I feel like a queen using it. At about $11, it’s comparable to Marvis, which is another fancy one I like. For being fluoride-free, it’s pretty comparable to the conventional fluoride toothpastes I’ve tried; it leaves my mouth feeling clean and my teeth looking whiter. I’d probably repurchase it (or my trusty Marvis).
Whenever I feel like the ends of my hair are getting a bit dry, I reach for my Giovanni 2Chic oil. I tried it on my sister’s hair as well, and she loved it. Although it’s a natural product (which tend to have a bad rap for not being as effective as conventional hair products), it actually works really well at hydrating my ends (and keeping them hydrated). An added bonus is that you don’t have to wash your hands after applying it to your hair; just massage the remaining product onto your elbows, legs, or wherever you need extra moisturizing.
I’m just in love with the original Prada Candy and the new lighter version, L’Eau. I honestly couldn’t decide on which one to get; my mom has the original Prada Candy as well. Have a sniff next time you pass by a perfume counter and let me know what you think.
I just fell in love with this clutch this month (just like every other blogger, it seems). It’s so well-made and the print is just gorgeous; it’ll be a staple in my wardrobe for many years to come. See my latest #OOTD where I feature this clutch.
I have a few monogram necklaces, but for some reason I’ve been gravitating towards this art deco-style monogram necklace from Love Always by SD. Mine is in the 1″ size, which I find to be perfect for wearing alone and layering with other necklaces.
