#OOTD // 70s Chic Date Night Look

The current throwback to the 70s is making me all sorts of happy.  I especially love the focus on utilitarian simplicity and bohemian vibes while maintaining a feminine shape.

This zip front dress is definitely my current favorite affordable 70s-inspired piece with a modern spin.  It hugs you in all the right places, and the zipper front is pretty darn sexy, perfect for a date night with your Mr. Bond.

And yes, it completely unzips open like a vest — hello, nurse.

The slight raw edges make it oh-so-current, and both the black and cream color options are swoon-worthy.

I accessorized with tassel earrings, a chain necklace, my favorite leopard clutch, and black strappy heels.  My photographer Shawna said that I look different in this look — I think she kindly meant not like a teacher or a mom like my usual, hahaha.  It’s certainly not a daytime #momfit, but I also added a casual denim option below.

The dark oxidized hardware makes the dress modern and versatile; you can basically wear any color metal jewelry with it.

I went with a UK Size 8, which is the equivalent to a US Size 6-8 (it’s not too stretchy, and nursing is still keeping me in the DDD range at this time).
