There’s just something about the 70’s trend that I’m loving. I’m not really into the 80’s or 90’s, but the 70’s is definitely my jam (not all of it, but a whole lot of it). This button front denim miniskirt is absolute affordable perfection for trying out the trend, and I’ve been enjoying dressing it up as well as down.
I paired it with the v-neck varsity-style sweater I got last winter right after I had Vienna (see the post here). For under $50, it’s a great dupe for the nearly-$400 Rag & Bone one it’s inspired after.
I ordered the sweater in a size S/M and the skirt in a size 8 (which they say fits like a 6-8 US, but I’d definitely say it’s on the smaller side, as with a lot of things from that line).
My Stuart Weitzman OTK suede boots are to-die-for and kind of an investment, but I’ve been wearing them to death (proof on Instagram and Snapchat). I seriously look for any excuse to wear them. Steve Madden also makes a $150 dupe here if you’re not into the price tag of the originals. I can only speak for the originals, though, and they are so comfy and so easy to make any outfit look instantly chic. And a girl like me with more muscular legs can totally fit into them (there are no zippers on the side or back — they just go up your leg like hosiery).
If you are thinking about ordering the Stuarts, order sooner than later because they sell out before the season ends EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. Or at least they end up with limited sizing and colors. I went with my regular size.
Also, in case you haven’t been briefed on my Instagram, Snapchat, in person, etc., haha… These glamorous aviator-style Prada sunglasses that you’ve seen me wearing a lot lately are my second rented pair from DITTO (out of many), which is a site that offers a pretty cool program called Endless Eyewear. You can swap out gorgeous sunglasses from Prada, Miu Miu, Karen Walker, and other fab designers for $24/month, kind of like Netflix and Rocksbox for your face. Your first month is free with code ‘bondgirlglam,’ if you’d like to give it a try. I picked out sunglasses for Mr. Bond and myself using the Virtual Try-On feature, and we both ended up really loving how our sunnies fit when they arrived. Renting is also an awesome option if you want to see if a trendy style will look and feel good on you before you actually purchase them.
Have you seen my Shop sections above? I regularly update my Women’s, Men’s, Baby, Maternity, & Home sections with items I either currently use or would love to try and think my Bond Girls would enjoy as well!
