As the colder weather approaches, I find myself naturally gravitating towards a darker color palette. I don’t often wear all black, so I had to break it up with my favorite cream leather jacket from Andrew Marc from a few years ago.
My beaded v-neck blouse here is a new favorite from an emerging women’s contemporary brand called Cooper & Ella. It’s sold at Nordstrom, Shopbop, Saks, Neiman’s, and Bloomies! I also have this lace-detail sweater from them that I keep wearing over and over. Besides designing gorgeous, well-made, and very wearable pieces, Cooper & Ella gives back by providing hot meals to school children with every piece sold!
I paired the beaded top with a faux leather miniskirt and one of the true loves of my life, haha — my suede over-the-knee boots. I want them in every color, and maybe even the flat ones, but that’ll definitely have to wait. Steve Madden also makes a pair that has an uncanny resemblance at a fraction of the cost.
I also want to tell you about my Kendra Scott earrings; they’re huge but they don’t weigh down my earlobes like you’d think. Such statement pieces that instantly glam anything up! I also made my own two custom pairs of this style at the Fashion Island store last week.
Lastly, on a helpful mama note, we finally found some “books” that Vienna can’t completely chew and rip up. I say “books,” because they’re really just paperback picture books, so you can make up your own story when you read with baby. I ordered 5 of them the other day, and I’ve hidden all the others out of reach until we outgrow this phase. I really should have done it sooner, because she loves them and doesn’t chew on them for some reason!
