Any plans this weekend for Mother’s Day? Do you prefer staying home and having breakfast in bed or going out to a restaurant and maybe enjoying some retail therapy? I’m the type of mom that enjoys both!
If you’re in SoCal, Dana Point Harbor has lots of family fun planned for Mother’s Day weekend. On May 12th and 13th, harbor restaurants are hosting special Mother’s Day specials with options ranging from coffee shops to fine dining, stores are open for a bit of shopping, Dana Wharf cruises offer complimentary “MOMosas,” and the boardwalk between Harpoon Henry’s and Wind & Sea is having a Mother’s Day Fine Art Show & Sale from 9:30am-5pm both days.
On May 13th, moms fish free and enjoy complimentary equipment rental if you go on one of the Dana Wharf fishing trips. Sailing, parasailing, and paddle boarding activities are also available in the harbor for anyone who wants a little adventure.
Besides the dining, shopping, whale watching California excursions, and art sales, the picturesque #DPharbor scenery is worth the visit. I just love walking around the harbor – it’s such a peaceful place with lots of different things to see and do.
My family has a boat docked in the harbor too, so I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl. Now we take our own little family to enjoy the seaside scenery.
Dana Point Harbor will be having similar activities for Father’s Day as well, so keep that in mind for next month (June 16th and 17th).
