Baby Vienna’s Nursery Tour & mamaRoo Giveaway

Today I’m sharing some photos of baby Vienna’s nursery area in our master bedroom as well as a lovely giveaway for the NEW 2015 version of the 4moms mamaRoo baby rocker with bluetooth app-controlled features!

We moved our bedframe, nightstands, and mirror over to the left so that the crib would fit against the wall opposite the windows.  I went with the same color scheme as our bedroom pre-baby — mostly whites, creams, golds, and a bit of black and grey.  I also incorporated some of the décor from my baby shower, including the diaper cake and flower arrangements.  The angel wings above her crib are from Hobby Lobby, which I spray painted gold.  The tulle canopy was a DIY with a tomato plant stand from Home Depot (just the round part) and two tulle curtains from Ikea hung up with a ceiling hook and clear fishing line; if you’re not into hand-making, Pottery Barn Kids sells a very similar one here.

The 4moms mamaRoo has been amazing with a newborn.  I call it my electronic babysitter; I set Vienna down in the mamaRoo when I need a few minutes to get something done around the house or if she falls asleep on me but I don’t necessarily want to put her in her crib (i.e., if I’m in the living room and want to keep an eye on her there).  The new version is bluetooth-enabled; the sounds and motions, which are pretty much the same as the old version, work with the 4moms iPhone and Android apps as well as with the buttons on the base itself.  I find it faster and easier to change the settings from my phone and can do it from across the room!  The base of the new mamaRoo is a little different than the older version too – more of a matte finish like the rockaRoo instead of the previous version’s shiny plastic – and features a new layout for the screen and buttons.  The fabrics on the seat and the three hanging mobile toys are new as well, and the handle on the mobile lacks the previous version’s fabric covering, much like the rockaRoo.

4moms has kindly offered Bond Girl Glam readers a chance to win one of their own NEW 2015 mamaRoos!  Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this post for the giveaway!

Also, if you haven’t already seen it, I posted my Birth Story yesterday.

My NY resolution for my home is to finish Giovanna’s nursery! (The floor needs laid down still and the electric needs rewired. Oh the joys of moving into an old farm house.) and to make my house more of a home. We have remodeled our bedroom and put in a new bathroom but it’s been over a year already and we still don’t have any curtains up or a kitchen table. Baby steps haha. We just had our first daughter 8 weeks ago! Between working 2 jobs, college and being a new mom I have let my house fall behind a little with so much to do still!

My resolution is to prepare our home for our first child that’s due to arrive in mid June. We just got married last summer and moved into our first home. We have so many boxes still left to unpack and organize. Plus, there will be a lot more things to add before the baby gets here so I’m hoping to organize everything and finish all the remodels we were hoping to do before the baby arrives. After the baby gets here, my resolution is to focus on being the best mom I can be for him/her. I want to focus on spending time with my new family of three and not stressing about if I’m doing everything right and if I’m losing the baby weight fast enough.

Also, I just wanted to say that your master bedroom and nursery area are adorable! I love the gold wings. We’re not finding out the gender so we’re hoping to use light gray, white and gold as our nursery colors. I might have to look into getting those wings!

My new year’s resolution is to be a better person than I ever was so that I can be a role model to my son and be a better wife and best friend to my husband. As a first time mom, I am restless and overwhelmed by everything that comes with being someone’s parent, but I’m determined more than ever to not waste life and cherish every waking moment with the two handsome guys in my life.

Thanks for this opportunity to win a mamaroo. I’ve been looking for used ones and would really be excited to get this.

We bought a foreclosure “fixer-upper,” so our goal is to get some rooms completely finished this year!

Our New Years resolution for our home is to complete the rest of our home projects (floor, door, and closet moulding, painting the interior and exterior, and a few touchups) and then putting it on the market! Hoping to sell by the end of the Summer before we move out of the area!

I love how comfortable, light and relaxing your bedroom is. You did an amazing job of adding a baby crib! I have one question. How did you fixed the top of the curtain over baby’s crip? Thank you for sharing your beautiful family and awesome ideas with us.

Thank you, Tanya! The canopy structure is hanging by clear fishing wire on a small metal hook that I spraypainted white to match the ceiling. It’s just one of those hooks you can use to hang plants but one of the smallest sizes since the canopy isn’t very heavy.
