Now that summer has officially started, I’m updating my wardrobe with lighter, brighter colors and more breathable fabrics. I checked out the new Ann Taylor store at South Coast Plaza over the weekend for my summer travels and had to share how happy I am with their newest collection! I picked up a few tops, a couple pairs of pants, and some dresses, all of which I’ll be sharing on my blog and Instagram soon as well.
What I love about the Ann Taylor aesthetic is that it’s classy, timeless, and modern — something very much appropriate for me as a working mom who doesn’t want to necessarily reveal too much on a daily basis but is always looking for cute clothes that will make me look and feel good. I think that’s why I found so many great summer pieces this past weekend!
It’s always a plus when clothing is interchangeable between work and play too, like this ivory sleeveless top. It’s made out of a lightweight knit material, which is super comfortable and always tends to look good on because of the way it drapes. I can see myself wearing this versatile halter shell to a resort dinner but still getting a ton of wear out of it for everyday life. It’s put-together but low maintenance, just how I like it.
Now, can we talk about these wide leg linen sailor pants?! I’m very much into the nautical look and have been wanting an updated pair of wide leg trousers for a while now, so I’m happy to finally check that off my must-haves list. I just feel like Ann Taylor pieces are so timeless, and these pants will be current for years to come.
I hope you’ll join me as I host my first ORANGE COUNTY, California, in-store event at the new Ann Taylor store at South Coast Plaza this coming Wednesday, June 27th. Besides lots of summery vacation vibes, there’ll be giveaways, sips, and snacks, so come say hello! I’d absolutely love to meet you!
