I am a self-professed beauty junkie and have been ever since I was able to put together enough dollar bills and quarters to go to CVS and pick out some kind of makeup. That being said, I’ve been on a clean out/sell/donate kick for the past few months (can’t do it all in one go with a little baby), and my makeup collection has not been spared.
Let’s say my little sister has been the happy recipient of quite a few bags of goodies throughout the last few weeks, and it makes me so happy to see her put things to use in a new way. On the flipside, having less stuff and more of what I LOVE makes me a happier person.
I thought I’d share this chic and simple way to make sense of your lippies, if you’re lip-obsessed too. I had shared this photo on Instagram, and you ladies seemed to respond well, so I wanted to elaborate more in a blog post.
This acrylic lipstick organizer and lip gloss organizer have given my lip options LIFE! It’s so much easier and more enjoyable to pick out my lips for the day. And the acrylic (which has a nice thickness to it and lacks any ugly logos, etc., on it) feeds my major lucite obsession.
And it makes me realize what I like most and what I already have in my makeup arsenal, avoiding unnecessary future dupes.
I used to store all my lip options in my makeup bag, but that was never an efficient storage option.
Plus, with 24 slots each, I am limiting myself to my favorite 24 lip glosses and 24 lipsticks at any given time. I know it may seem pretty excessive to some, but that’s super minimal to me, since I literally feel naked without something on my lips.
This limit doesn’t include lip balms, though, hehehe.
Speaking of creating beauty product limits for myself, I’m sure you’ve noticed I’m also nail polish-obsessed (honestly, what beauty products am I not obsessed with?). I have this acrylic nail polish rack in our bathroom, and I limit myself to whatever fits on it. I know it’s probably excessive to some, but I do go through my varnishes regularly and throw out older ones and give away colors that don’t suit my skin tone. Plus, I rarely go to nail salons (like once or twice a year), so I think that perfectly justifies my collection. 🙂
Oh, and the lipstick organizer can fit lip glosses too, so if you have 24 or less of each kind, you could just order the lipstick one.
My desk has now morphed into a makeup station, and I love it!
Have you seen my Shop sections above? I regularly update my Women’s, Men’s, Baby, Maternity, & Home sections with items I either currently use or would love to try and think my Bond Girls would enjoy as well!
Let me know if you end up ordering and what you think!
