Last year was a whirlwind for us with a brand new baby, so I never got a chance to get Christmas cards out – for the first time since we got married 5 years ago! This year, though, I’m back on it and starting early/on time.
I wanted to share our family Christmas photo shoot from last weekend with Shawna of Bleudog Fotography. She’s so good with that dreamy sunset light! I’m in love with so many of the photos and had a really hard time picking a cover photo for our 2015 Christmas card. We imagine that many of you are also having your own shoots with someone like this Newton Family Photographer around about now, so we thought it would be nice to share a few images of ours – who knows, maybe something in them will inspire you when you have your shoot!
I’m planning on ordering the cards in the next few days from Minted, where I already ordered some of Vienna’s first birthday party decor and invitation (did you see the previews on my Snapchat?! Username is irinabond). What makes them different is that they work with independent artists to bring you beautiful and truly unique stationery, home decor, and even art.
They’re running a 20% off promotion for real foil-pressed holiday cards until November 16th with code FOIL, so it’s the perfect time to get those cards done if you have your photos ready.
This year I’m also taking advantage of their Recipient Address Printing, which is going to save this mama quite a few hours of hand-writing names and addresses. Pre-baby I used to decorate the envelopes with washi tape, metallic sharpies, and ink stamps, but things have changed quite a bit since becoming a mom, and I’m just happy to get some Christmas cards out this year, haha!
I’m struggling between these 3 designs, so I’d love your input before I put in the order (hopefully by tomorrow).
And here they are up close…
That cover photo is literally straight out of the camera, no editing. Shawna is amazing, huh?!
Please let me know your favorite of the 3 options below in the comments!
Now for the rest of our shoot…
