If you’re looking for a fab yet versatile eyeshadow palette that travels pretty well, I’d definitely recommend any of the trio of Urban Decay Naked palettes. They’re a nice size, come with an eyeshadow brush, and are highly pigmented, which makes them a pleasure to work with. But not everyone is crazy like me and
needs wants to complete the trilogy. So… which one(s) should you get?
Have you seen my Shop sections above? I regularly update my Women’s, Men’s, Baby, Maternity, & Home sections with items I either currently use or would love to try and think my Bond Girls would enjoy as well!
All 3 Naked Palettes are workable neutrals that can easily be taken from day to night. There’s a mixture of shimmers, satins, and mattes.
I’m not knocking the Naked 3 down at all, but if I lost all my makeup in some disaster, I’d repurchase Naked 1 and Naked 2 first. I barely use my Naked 3 and may need to give it a little more attention, especially with spring in full bloom and summer in the near horizon.
Some say the Naked 1 is better for the fairer-skinned and the Naked 2 is better for darker tones. I first purchased the Naked 2 after hearing this, but I have to disagree after trying the original Naked palette. I use the Naked 1 heavily, the Naked 2 a decent amount, and the Naked 3 not often enough.
I hope I didn’t confuse you too much, but I just thought I’d share my experience as a makeup lover. Between these 3 palettes, I have a hard time ever wanting to purchase any other. Of course, the LORAC Pro Palette is on the same level for me as these Naked palettes, but that’s a whole other story in itself.
UPDATE: There is a new 4th palette out called the Naked Smoky. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve seen it at Sephora and am tempted to add it to the collection. Leave your thoughts below!
