Earlier this week I took my baby boyfriend with me to his first blogger event in Los Angeles. It was a watercolor workshop, and I really enjoyed having a little bit of me time to explore my creativity on a new medium (he’s such a good baby, it’s basically me time when it’s just me and him).
Painting has always intrigued me, but I never make time to express myself with art these days as a mom. This night taught me that it’s ok to make time for new hobbies, even though I’ve never felt busier or had a fuller schedule in my life. Watercolor is actually really relaxing. It’s hard for me to do anything but what’s necessary for my family, you know?
I wore what I knew would let me nurse easily and walk without pain — this lace detail striped shirt dress and the comfiest black suede wrap heels. I’m wearing a size 6 in the dress, and the heels run TTS. Best of all, the shoes are on sale for 45% off right now and come in two other color options! They are gorgeous!
