Something about blue and white just screams “summer” to me. I love the combo and wear it often. This Eliza J halter-neck blue and white stripe dress makes a pretty, instant outfit for attending a baby shower, bridal shower, brunch, wedding, or any other girly get-together. Plus, that A-line cut really flatters girls with curves.
This chambray stripe dress isn’t that nursing-friendly because of the halter-neck style combined with the not-so-stretchy fabric, so when I wore it to a baby shower a few months ago, I unzipped the top-back and found a private spot to nurse my son on a bench to the wayside of the event. Once in a blue moon, I’ll be willing to deal with the hassle, because sometimes nursing-friendly fashion gets a little boring, you know? I’m wearing a size 6 here, although my milk-filled cantaloupes just barely fit in it. Once I lose my remaining baby weight, this dress will fit even better. 🙂
Let’s talk about my new bamboo clutch, the IT bag of the season. It’s modeled after a classic Japanese picnic bag. The crescent-shaped design, cutout handles, and see-through nature make it a show-stopper everywhere I go with both men and women. I bought it a few months ago and am absolutely in love. It was hard to track down, but it seems to be in stock right now. In case it’s sold out, if you get on their waiting list, there’s a good chance you can snag one in a restock. I got the size large because I’m a taller girl, plus I only use long continental wallets or long zip-around wallets, hehe.
It’s so good to be back shooting outfits with my favorite Orange County photographer, Shawna of Bleudog Fotography. You guys often ask me who takes my photos, and Shawna is the only professional photog I work with when my husband and I aren’t taking my photos. She is so easy to work with and has the best eye. Her camera and lens collection is to die for, and I love that we share the same love for natural light. Book her if you’re in SoCal!
