I’ve teamed up with JCPenney today to create an outfit for $50 or less (the apparel part of it anyway). Remember when I took you along with me to JCP on Snapchat a few weeks ago? (Add me by username if you’re not already following along: irinabond). Well, this is what I ended up going home with from the options I showed you! I knew you girls agreed — this dress was getting all the screenshots.
Now that the move is done and all the boxes are finally gone, spring fever is in full effect for me. I’ve been spending the last few weeks adding some new dresses, skirts, tops, and shoes to my closet for the upcoming season. This little blush pink lace number by Belle + Sky is definitely one of my favorite pieces from my spring shopping. It’s added a healthy dose of femme to my wardrobe, and I’m not even mad about it!
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect of JCP when they invited me for the challenge since I haven’t been in one of their stores for at least a decade, but I was overwhelmingly curious. I’m glad I took the challenge — who knew some of them have Sephora inside?! Mind blown. Now I know there’s another yummy makeup heaven between South Coast Plaza and Mission Viejo Mall, if I ever
need want more.
I’ve always been a fan of mixing high and low, and this lace dress is amazing for the price — very Valentino-inspired. I used a coupon code to get it for under $50 a few weeks ago. Right now their promos include buy 1, get 1 for a penny and 15-30% off with code NEWYOU2 (depending on which kind of credit card you use and if your cart total is $100+).
I kept it simple and played up the black in the bow with all-black accessories. Naughty and nice, sweet with a hint of bad girl. 😉
