The new Lorac PRO Palette 2. Should you get it?
My favorite store-bought lip scrubs & a DIY recipe for home.
I’ve always been attracted to hair care formulated specifically for brunettes, so today I’m sharing two different lines that have worked well for my own brown locks.
Ever wondered how you can use one hair tool to create multiple looks? Wonder no more. Today I show you a hair tutorial on how to use a straightener to curl. Sounds counter-intuitive, yes, but you read that right – curl. Be sure to pin this! And the finished product… These are the items I used to achieve the look: Shop The Post:Read More
Although my beauty cabinet is filled with quite a few other lovely makeup products (read: toys), somehow I always reach for particular tried and true products when I don’t want to think twice about what I’ll wear that day. These items also happen to be what I currently have in my travel makeup bag. They work well for me, and you can see they’re well-loved (I’ve hit pan on a few items, and that Benefit Instant Brow Pencil is starting to look like a deluxe sample, haha). LORAC PRO Palette A beloved palette of mine! The top shades are matte, and the bottom row is shimmer. It has every shade I would need for an everyday look, and the quality is lovely. The thinness of the LORAC PRO Palette makes it ideal for travel. My absolute favorite is “Gold” – it’s more of a bronze gold, and it makes my blue eyes pop. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Liquid Foundation This Chanel liquid foundation is an ultra-light skin-perfecting hybrid fluid. It’s not a full-coverage foundation, but it also doesn’t make me look and feel as heavily layered as others (which have their time and place for special events, etc.). …Read More
Today Bond Girl Glam brings you a high-end versus drugstore product comparison. The focus will be on the two hair masks I’ve been trying side-by-side: the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque and the L’Oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm. Hair masks are an excellent and necessary addition to your haircare routine; they’re like supercharged conditioners. I will sometimes skip my conditioner for a hair mask treatment on my ends, because I find that my hair ends up a lot silkier in the same amount of time it would take to apply a conditioner. They’re especially useful in the drier winter months and for color-treated hair. The Macadamia mask has been a long-time favorite of mine; the one pictured above is probably my fourth repurchase. It’s a cult-favorite among the Internet beauty world, and for good reason. The L’Oreal mask is a newer purchase. I generally like L’Oreal as a drugstore brand, so I thought I’d give it a try for you girls. And at around $6-7, it’s a steal compared to the Macadamia. It claims to repair a year of damage in one use, so with a claim like that, I knew I had…Read More
Welcome to my powder room counter, Bond Girl! I thought I’d share some of my current skincare favorites today. I know I’d like to see what’s behind other women’s medicine cabinets too. My routine is gradually evolving, especially since I like to try new things to possibly recommend here. If this post turns out to be helpful, I can also share some additional non-daily skincare treatments I like to use and future discoveries. Firstly, let’s cover the basics of what kind of skin I have. I’m in my mid-twenties with combination skin. I struggle to stay matte all day in my t-zone area, but my skin feels dry after cleansing, especially around the outer edges of my face and on my lips during the winter months. I also get the occasional acne flare-ups, the worst of which tend to come in waves (most likely hormonally-influenced). My skincare product choices are usually based on effectiveness, scent, and packaging. I like quality products, pleasant scents, and beautiful, classic packaging (don’t we all!). I enjoy using skincare products, because 1) I’m trying to prevent skin aging now instead of when it’s too late, 2) makeup application is a lot smoother with skin that is…Read More

We all know that a clarifying shampoo is a necessary step in our haircare routine. To make all the rest of our haircare work how it’s intended, it’s a good idea to press the reset button once a week. However, it doesn’t have to feel like a chore or strip your hair of its natural moisture and elasticity. I’ve recently decided to upgrade my clarifying shampoo to the Peppermint & Avocado (yes, it smells divine!) Volumizing & Clarifying Shampoo from PHILIP B. I’m big on scents, because I believe they add a lovely layer to the whole experience of primping; the aromatherapeutic effects of this shampoo are natural, stemming from pure plant extracts and essential oils. Also, I’m partial to the brand because they have a Russian Amber Imperial Shampoo that’s on my wishlist of luxury shampoos to try. It’s known as a fountain of youth for hair, and no matter your hair type, it promises healthier, smoother, silkier and more voluminous locks than ever. Can’t wait to try that one in the future! Something to note, though, is that the first time I used the PHILIP B Clarifying Shampoo, I noticed that it didn’t seem to create very much…Read More
Recently I had a chance to try MAI COUTURE’s Social Glosses. These hydrating and paraben-free luxury lipglosses give your lips a glossy finish that lasts for hours, even while sipping on a drink and snacking on hors d’oeurvres. I keep a Social Gloss in my purse at all times now, as they’re pretty sheer and easy to apply without a mirror on-the-go. They stay on for some hours but are not so sticky that they are uncomfortable or make your hair permanently stick to your face – eek! I’m also a fan of the gentle, warm scent and the satisfying sound they make when you take out the doe-foot applicator. Not to mention, the sleek gold packaging is totally Bond Girl Glam-worthy. MAI COUTURE also makes fabulous blotting and makeup papers. Check back in a bit for our review of their blush, bronzer, highlighter, and powder foundation papers… and a Gift Set giveaway!Read More
