#BumpStyle // Lace Navy Dress

I took these photos before we announced I was pregnant on the way to date night at AnQi — an amazing dinner spot at South Coast Plaza (get the garlic noodles for sure) — so I wasn’t showing that much yet.  I definitely felt pregnant, though, even before I saw the positive lines on the test, and this non-maternity dress was one of the few things in my closet that still fit and made me feel comfortable in the first trimester.

It won’t be wearable in the later months of pregnancy (unless you get a bigger size and tend to have a smaller bump), but I thought I’d share since a lot of women look for non-maternity options.  Looser shift dresses in general are a good way to hide a pregnancy in the first few weeks before you’re ready to tell the world.

Best of all, this lace dress is under $60.  The navy color is classy and something I might need more of.  It’s a very beautiful dress, the only thing I don’t like about it is the slip underneath.  If you have a nicer one that’s stretchier, I’d wear that, but the one it comes with does get the job done.

I always order size Medium (like a women’s 4-6 US) from Chicwish.
