Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 8th (our 6th wedding anniversary too), so I’ve put together a collage of some of the things on my personal wishlist as well as some things I already have that I can highly recommend.
Did you know I always make these collages shoppable? Just hover over the item to click!
Only since becoming a mom myself did Mother’s Day start to mean so much more to me. I gained a real and deep appreciation for the women in my life — the women who raised me and the women who continue to shape me.
It’s a great excuse to treat yoself, because the work we do (lovingly) is 24/7, unpaid, and usually under-appreciated!
I mean, this pretty little thing speaks for itself. I just bought myself my first Valentino piece, and now I’m addicted to all things rockstud. Although I don’t necessarily need a new wallet myself, if I did this would probably be it. I love longer tri-fold styles and zipper wallets. Plus, I think the pop of red coming out of a handbag would make me feel happy, ha.
Although I’ll probably still wear costume jewelry for some time (hello BaubleBar), I’m nearing my 30’s and am starting to gravitate towards “real” jewelry. I think these 9mm pearl studs would be amazing for everyday. Love me a set of pearl earrings always and forever, but the diamonds around the corners just elevate these to another level for me. There’s also a smaller size (6mm) here.
By now I’m sure you know I’m a hat lady. This fab summer hat is what my hat dreams are made of. It’s the original hat with script that’s always being copied elsewhere. I just love the sassy message! It’s kind of pricey for paper straw, but a girl can dream…
have had the costume jewelry version of this ring (until I lost it at a park in Laguna Beach when I took it off to put sunscreen on Vienna), so I know I’d get a lot of wear out of this style in white gold and diamond although it’s “trendy.” I don’t wear rings very much besides my engagement and wedding band, so knowing that I wore the heck out of my BaubleBar ring, a real ring like this would be perfect for me. It looks like it’s slightly thinner than my cheapie one. Another wishlist item.
If I include this in enough wishlist collages, it’ll manifest itself into my life, right? Haha! Although it’s kind of heavy, this structured bag is just dreamy to me. I literally drool over it online and in stores. Plus it comes with a strap, which is a must as a mom. One day…
I mean, have you ever seen anything like it?! Notes: – Top: cologne, bergamot, lemon. – Middle: Earl Grey tea, verbena, mint. – Base: cedarwood.
Before I had a baby, I didn’t really understand why you’d buy a pair of designer flats. Now I get it. I’ve seen super-stylish girls at the mall wearing these and have fallen in love. They’d look amazing in the fall/winter.
Ok, so I’ve never been interested in the Apple Watch because it just looks clunky to me and I don’t need another device reminding me of all the emails and messages I need to get back to. The Activitè Steel is a 24/7 activity tracker for steps, running, swimming, and sleep AND actually passes for a chic watch. Reminds me of my Daniel Wellington. It has an analog activity dial and synchronizes with your smartphone (iOS or Android) for in-depth metrics that help you stay motivated.
Withings is a French company, and we also have their baby monitor. Everything they make is super high-tech and cutting edge.
They’ve released this limited edition version with the red leather band and a special box for gifting!
My watch is coming in the mail early next week, so I’ll probably update you on what I think on Snapchat (irinabond).
Incipio sent me a package of some of their new Design Series cases last week (you may have seen on Snap). I’m in love and recommending them to everyone in real life too. This is the kind of phone case that I’m always after — bendy yet sturdy and goes all the way around the edges of the phone.
A few iPhone generations ago, I bought a few Incipio cases off Amazon, so I knew I’d love these new ones too. Those were just plain colors, so these are a major step up in terms of style. Plus, I love that they’re also from SoCal.
I also have their little charger in my purse now at all times since it’s so slim. I’m on my phone way too much, and my battery always dies at the most inopportune times, so the charger has been a lifesaver.
I’d totally give my mom a few of these cases, but she doesn’t have an iPhone, boo!
I ran out of my beloved Nars Orgasm blush that I’ve repurchased time and time again, but I wanted to try something new. Since I love my double-ended TF eyeliner, I thought I’d give the blush a try. I ordered it in Flush, and I don’t think I can use anything else now. Such a beautiful color on medium-tan skin, finely milled, and a little goes a LONG way. The packaging is literally me in makeup form. Can’t gush enough.
Super luxe makeup like this makes for the perfect mom gift; they usually feel too guilty to buy it for themselves!
I told you the rockstud obsession is real. I tried on these sandals in store, and they are even more fabulous in person than the photos online. Like jewelry for your feet! And comfortable too. Definitely will get these sometime, but I just bought a different pair of light-colored studded sandals, so I’ll wait a while (blog post with those here).
Gimme all the crossbody bags! We live in a high-rise apartment, so I’m always carrying the baby as well as groceries, etc. I basically only wear bags that go across my body so that I have two hands free. I’m thinking to get this bag in hot pink; I was going through my closet the other day and realized almost everything I own is a neutral. Time for some pops of color.
I have this robe and have included it in lots of gift guides in the past. It’s not a sexy robe, but it sure is comfy and comes in lots of colors. Sometimes after a long day you just want to wrap yourself in some fluffy fabric and have a glass of wine. Perfect mom gift.
Back to real jewelry. Call me a basic blogger, but I want to start a David Yurman cuff collection. I think I want my first piece to have the pearl ends. I mean, how cute would the matching pearl studs be with the cuff? Plus, it’d look nice next to my new Withings watch! AND, all my gifts for the next birthday, Christmas, etc., would be easy — cuffs, cuffs, and more cuffs. I can pass them on to our daughter too.
I have a thing for one-pieces now that I have some stretchmarks to hide post-pregnancy, so thank goodness they’re on-trend. I’d wear them anyway if they weren’t trendy, though, because designers are coming out with some of the cutest one-pieces ever these days. And this one looks like the chicest little black one-piece ever.
These low-heel fringe sandals are the perfect summer sandals for a super-chic mom. The chunky heel provides much-needed stability. Love this red color – how cute would they be with white hot nails?
Although obviously not as practical as the other shoes on my list here, the So Kate’s are quite possibly the sexiest shoes ever made, and hey, a mama’s gotta feel good sometimes! I have a similar style in black patent (the Pigalle’s), so I’m thinking leopard would be a great addition to my wardrobe since it’s basically a neutral and one of my favorite patterns besides stripes. Or maybe the hot pink ones.
Btw, they’re fully restocked in all sizes as of right now when I’m posting this here in black patent and nude patent! Finally.
Anyway, I hope this was useful in case you’re looking for a super-chic Mother’s Day gift!
